Filming w/ Tim Flannery for The Guardian Australia

Recently, The Guardian Australia asked me to film an interview with Professor Tim Flannery, the former Climate Commissioner, for an upcoming interactive feature they’re working on.

The entry of outlets like The Guardian into the Australian media landscape can only be a good thing, although it does threaten established players. Unfortunately, players like Crikey and New Matilda don’t seem to have the money to commission multimedia and video content. Hopefully, this will change, as the online market matures. Although because outlets like are now competing with the NY Times and Wall Street Journal – the emphasis is on slimming down costs, not expanding into expensive content production. Content curation and not creation.
